UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2: Unfortunately, because of the pandemic we have had to cancel our September Used Book Sale.
Because of the Library closure, we have been unable to collect books. Our book sale inventory remains low. We are still collecting books for our scheduled December sale, which we hope will take place as planned. As you review your personal libraries in the coming weeks, please remember the Friends of the Library and set aside books for that sale.
The Friends accept gently used fiction, nonfiction, and books-on-tape, along with CDs and DVDs. We are not able to accept textbooks, encyclopedias, musty-smelling items, VHS, or cassette tapes. Until further notice, DO NOT bring your book donations to the library. When you have a donation ready, please call our Book Sale Coordinator Jim Tellner at 517-775-3959, or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org, and he will arrange for a pickup. We welcome all donations, no matter how small. Tax forms are still available as the Friends is a 501 (c) (3) organization, making your donation tax-deductible as a charitable contribution to the extent allowed by law. Our book sales are the major source of the Friends' funding.
